View Full Version : Tray icon won't open SqueezeCenter - no file association

Although I've been running 7 for a while it's only been just to get an idea using Softsqueeze. Now I am thinking it might not be too disasterous to run my Transporter and SB3 from it I'm diving in feet first.... with questions....

Ever since I've first installed 7 I've never been able to open the app from the system tray icon and instead have relied upon the short cuts on the desktop/quick launch toolbar etc... which work fine.

If I click on the system tray icon I receive the message:
"This file does not have an action associated with it. Create an association with it in the Folder Options control panel."
The message box has the title "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SqueezeCentre Web Interface.url".

I have set the .url extention to open in Firefox but it doesn't work. I've now set it back to the default (rundll32.exe shdocvw.dll,OpenURL %l) and it still doesn't work.

I have nothing else on the PC that exhibits any problems with any resemblence to this.

If I browse to the directory: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SqueezeCenter and double click the file/shortcut labelled SqueezeCenter Web Interface I receive the same message, this time titled "". works fine in my browser's location bar and as any other shortcut (i.e desktop).

I'm a bit flummoxed.

LATE EDIT: damn, wrong forum. Sorry.

I think you've ended up in the wrong forum. Will answer in Beta.
