Gentleones,
I've poked around a bit in the code of SlimServer and it's impressive
and within my grasp... given the time to figure it all out and come to
grips with it, of course! I've merely done a few cosmetic, such as
changing the $scrollpause (it doesn't take 4 seconds to read the first
10 characters of a message) and messed with the strings, but there's
one really big change I'd like to see.
Instead of having the text size fixed at LARGE or (small), I'd like to
see a setting where it jumps to LARGE when you're actively using the
display (browsing a playlist, searching for an artist, etc.) and then
jump to (small) when the player is idling, playing, etc., you know,
just doing what it is you last told it to do. Why? It's mostly
aesthetic--the small text and the progress bar look significantly nicer
than the scrolling large text.
Anybody want to take this one on? Or have a lot of suggestions as to
how to do it exactly?
Thanks,
Bill
