I'm running 6.5.4 on Ubuntu 7.04. When I create new playlists, they are available from the slimserver browser, but I can't find the associated files on disk. The location specified for saving the playlists is /home/jwest/SlimPlayLists. When I look in this location, none of my new .m3u files are there. What is slimserver doing with the playlists? Do they only exist now is the database.

Thanks

Does the slimserver user have write permission to the playlist dir? If not, you will lose the playlist the next time you clear the library and rescan.

That was it. I must have introduced a permissions problem somehow. I can save the playlists with the permissions set to rw for all. I'll see if I can tighten this up, but for now, that did the trick.

Thanks
