I just got my Squeeze and I like it because of the decent audio quality. I am having trouble working both me and and my girlfriends music libraries onto the squeeze without having to turn one slim server off from one of the macs.

Is there a plugin or something that will allow me 2 servers running and just choose which IP to access from the Squeezebox menu without turning servers on and off?

I don't want to get rid of the sqeeze just because my GF can't be bothered to work out the IP/server issue!

Thanks in advance.

Both servers would have different IP addresses. Depending on which server you wanted to listen to, you simply LEFT ARROW on the remote until the SETUP screen comes on. Go through the normal process UNTIL it asks you for the server to connect to. If you've named them differently, or remember their specific IP address, then you can choose the one you want.

As far as I know, this is the only way to get around having multiple servers.

You can only get to the setup menu if you stop and then start one of the two servers you are running then it notices a new one and asks which one you would like to access. Without doing this annoying process you cant get to this setup network menu to choose, the menu system just wont let you get out of the current server IP. What I would like to know is if there is a way to access both IP's without having to do this.

If you can help I would be grateful.

I've never tried it, but Michael has a Plugin for this:

Another option is to try to use two different libraries but put them on one slimserver. Erland has a plugin for this:

It does. Just keep LEFT pressed until you're out there.

For some reason I haven't found yet it only works on Windows. Other
systems refuse broadcasting ("permission denied").

Or consider replicating one collection to the other a cheap backup of your
music files.

Feel a bit stupid! Just found out you need to hold the left arrow down on the remote for 5 seconds then the squeeze throws you back to the network setup... doh! Thanks to everyone for there help.
