I had podcasts working OK before on several versions, but after upgrade to 6.5.4 on RH6 they won't start to play anymore.

I use softsqueeze and have tried both 3.4 and the 7.0 zip file version I noticed on the wiki. Same behaviour on both.

I've started turning on various server side debugging logs to see what I can see (nothing obvious so far)... but if you've had this problem and the fix is something simple like "Hit the Blue button" I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks!

I didn't get far with debugging, but did see mention of mp3 problems. Console output from softsqueeze below.

The feeds I'm most interested in are at cbcradio3.com.

'Enhanced'/itunes doesn't work (not surprising):
itpc://www.cbcradio3.com/podcast/radio3/enhanced/

mp3 doesn't work:
http://www.cbcradio3.com/podcast/radio3/standard/,

but the ogg feed does:
http://www.cbcradio3.com/podcast/radio3/ogg/

I can play mp3 from my library no problem.

Any hints on where to look next to get mp3 feeds working?

While CBC are kind enough to provide ogg, I'm sure to run into others that don't.

Console errors from softsqueeze while trying the mp3 feed:

I don't know before 6.5.x but since 6.5.x some MP3 podcasts don't play at all with Softsqueeze yet work fine with the real Squeezebox.

Perfect! Thanks for letting me know it's not just me.
Please let me know if I can help with testing.

A long while ago I could only get mp3 working by setting the audio option in softsqueeze to Jlayer.
