My latest version of Slimserver 6.5.4 fails to run automatically on system start. I have tried to turn the option on and off but it does not help. I am running Windows XP. Is there a simple fix for this?

Do you get an error message in the Windows event log? Does it start
manually?

There should be a file SlimTray.exe in your program files. Exactly how it is called, I don't know. All I know is that I disabled it through Windows Defender, and I no longer run Slimserver at startup. Maybe there is a setting somewhere in Slimserver?

Just to follow up, I was on my server today and this is apparently how the file is called:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\SlimServer Tray Tool.lnk

I don't get any error messages and it works OK when I start it manually or when I login as a user but never on system start... and yes I have the SlimTray.exe in the alluser startup folder.
Frustrating.
