Apologies if this has been asked before, but I get an error every time I try to search this forum!

I LOVE Pandora, and am currently able to use their free trial via Slimserver. I did use it before, but as I am based in Oz, rather than the US, Pandora now block me listening to them.

Is there a way of accessing Pandora after my trial period is over, and how would I go about doing it - proxy server etc?

I am a bit of a novice at this, so a simple explanation of how to set it up would be appreciated!

Cheers
Steve

Hi Stevemich,

There are two issues here.

1. Once you trial is over, you will only be able to listen to Pandora via a webbrowser, not via third-party devices, such as an SB3

2. As you back on a webbrowser only version of Pandora, the only real option would be to use Wavein plugin to stream the output from your soundcard to SlimServer/SqueezeCenter.

3. You would still need to setup a proxy to get onto Pandora, you can use http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html to find a US proxy and set it up on your computer (for IE http://support.microsoft.com/kb/135982).

The downsides, you will not have all the added features from Pandora like you do now and you will have to adjust everything on the computers side, since you are only listning to a stream on your SB.

There are really only two ways around this and getting working
1. Move to the US (I miss Pandora so much, that this has crossed my mind)
2. Put Pandora in your past, like you first girlfriend, and move on to the next. Most that come after will be meassured against her, but its never really the same. Next step is Last.FM.

Sorry to bum you out...
