Never thought it would happen but I've become so used to working with the linux command line that when I'm at a DOS command line I find myself instinctively typing linux commands rather than the DOS equivalents. I actually have to stop and think about the DOS equivalent. Just goes to show, an old dog can sometimes learn new tricks.

Then why work in windows????

because i still use mp3tag, and as a result tend to do most of my ripping/tagging and encoding on the same box. the rest of the time I work on my main box, which happens to be a linux box. if there were a linux version of mp3tag it'd be unlikely i'd fire up my w2k3 box.

1) Easytag doesn't work well enough for you?

2) Does mp3tag run under wine?

1) Easytag doesn't work well enough for you? Truth be told I've never spent a lot of time working with it, but based on the short foray I'd say no, it isn't quite in the same league. I also make use of some allmusic scripts to auto scrape and auto-tag for me which I don't think EasyTag can do?

2) Does mp3tag run under wine?
Yes, but I couldn't get the autotag scripts working (I didn't spend much time on it), and I typically invoke mp3tag by right-clicking on a folder containing many subdirectories - something I'm not sure how to configure under Linux when using a windows app.

So I guess in short one could say I've been lazy.
