Olive just announced a new high-end version of their server. does anyone know if it works with the squeezebox?

There are many ways to interpret your question, but I think the answer to most of those interpretations is "no".

Olive has on-board storage, so if you can access the directory from a PC, you could perhaps use the Olive as your music storage, and then slimserver to stream to a squeezebox.

But then, you could also run DOS on a 4GHz Pentium. It just doesn't make that much sense...

perhaps you could clarify your question a bit?

I remember that maching being "hacked" and slimserver being installed on
it. But that's rather inofficial. Official answers might be given by their
site.
