Hi there,

I use Itunes to manage my music so I've ripped my cd library to Apple Lossless. I have some Flac files, as well and am wondering if there is any software that converts FLAC to ALAC on the fly while keeping tags in tact. Right now I am converting FLAC to Wav, then to ALAC. Not too big a deal, except it loses the tags, which is a drag. Any help is appreciated.

Thx,
Darren

There's quite a few ways to do what you want. I am currently using iTunesEncode.exe with Foobar2k. You can download it from http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=35242

It sends flac files from Foobar2k (or EAC) to iTunes with tag information intact and lets iTunes convert it to whichever format iTunes is set to (e.g. Apple Lossless, lossy AAC, etc).

Instructions should be clear in the readme, but if you need any help, feel free to ask here.
