Hi,

I've just installed SlimServer 6.5.3 on a clean AMD64 Ubuntu 7.04 server.

The squeeze box connects to the server fine, but I'm unable to connect to the web interface from a remote machine. Netstat tells me that the server is listening to port 9000, but only to connections from localhost.

I'm running slimserver as a non root user. If I run slimserver as root, I can connect to the web interface from a remote machine.

Does anyone have any ideas how I could enable remote access to the web interface without running the server as root.

Thanks.

Ah ha!

Being new to Ubuntu I'd assumed I'd grabbed the latest server release... looks like I only got 6.3.0-4 as this is the version in the feisty package repository: http://packages.ubuntu.com/feisty/sound/slimserver

I've not got access to the server at the moment, but hopefully using the latest server version should sort me out.
