Hi,

I'm looking for a widget for my Wordpress based site to display the music, i'm playing in slimserver.

Does anybody know if this exists ? I know there is a slimserver plugin WebLogger which allows to send data from slimserver. But I can't find the widget picking up this data to display on the website.

Any help is much appreciated

I cheated by using the NowPlaying plugin (http://www.thespicers.net/nowPlaying.html) to put the current song up on my web server via FTP, and then just modified my WordPress templates to include the text file.

You could also use SlimScrobbler to put stuff in last.fm and use their widgets in WordPress.

You could combine SlimScrobbler to log the listening to last.fm, then I
believe I've seen WP plugins to harvest the stats from there. I've not
used WP myself for a while so I've not not any links, but I definitely
had that working when I did use it.

Do you use Last.fm to report the music you listen to on your
Slimserver? If so, Last.fm provides an widget that you can embed
into Wordpress.

It's not as 'direct' as a slimserver plugin but it fulfills the same
purpose.

Thanks for the help. I've got the WebLogger plugin working now, generating the text file with all the 'now playing' info. I've created a text widget in Wordpress (a standard option) and tried to add some HTML instead of plain text and it worked !

Basically it's reading out the text file. I only need to adjust the looks to match the looks of my website www.ramonboerman.nl

I'll give last.fm also a try as this sounds very interesting too.

I've registered myself at Last.fm. Wow! This is a great community! I'm uploading now to last.fm and I've installed also the widget on my site showing which cd's I'm playing. I'll extend this to playlist whenever there is enough data gathered

Again thanks for the help!
