Hi

I'm moving house and all my cd's will be boxed and put in the loft. I want to catalog them so I can find them easily if needed in future.
Is there a way to get a hard print copy of the albums, or better still import it into Excel?

thanks
Rob

One could query Slimserver's database directly. But I don't know what the correct SQL code would look like. I open all mp3s in mp3tag (takes a couple of minutes over network for ~10k mp3s). mp3tag has a number of export filters which include HTML pages, text files and also Excel files (.csv).

Try the SQLYog tool. It and other options are discussed in this thread... http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29282

I use something similar to this: http://www.theeldergeek.com/file_list_generator.htm. It’s nothing to do with Squeezebox, but if all your albums are in a top-level directory you should be able to export to notepad, then print. If you’re not confident in windows, you could download the free version of TreeSize – this has quite a few options to export – and probably to excel.
