output through SB3 or PC?

Excuse the newb question, but I have a wholehouse delivery system that takes inputs from your standard RCA plugs. The dedicated Music server has a bog standard NVidia chip. Am I right in thinking that I would get a better output by using a dedicated SB3 box and then outputting it to the speakers, rather than using the softsqueeze player to out put it to the speakers?

Yes, that's more or less the whole point of the SB ;-) - music where you want it at higher fidelity because it gets out of the mess of the PC in terms of EMI, soundcards, resampling, OS mixers, system boops and beeps, etc.
