RadioIO is moving to a new streaming provider effective sometime this weekend, and so all old-style radioio:// links such as radioio://radioioAMBIENT.mp3 will no longer work. Please use the links found through Internet Radio -> radioio to access their stations.

Nightly 6.5.3 will include a fix for the radioio:// URLs to access the new streams soon.

I'd be perfectly happy to change the links. Just PLEASE don't tell me they're going to shut down because of the new royalty rates mandated by the %&#* CRB! (Cuz that's what I thought when I saw the title of this thread.)

I'm sure they will shut down if things don't get worked out by July 15.

as will Pandora and Rhapsody.

A billion dollars for "administrative fees" alone is insane.

Pandora yes, but I think Rhapsody will survive... they aren't really 'radio' and have special deals already with the industry.

This is all sooooo upsetting!
Just sometimes can't people see past profit?....

It cannot access the login page. Are the new links in the current nightly? I have to rebuild my server yet again....

I tried today's build, and the links are dead! Grrrr...

Also, I saw that the organization that is asking for the royalties has asked instead for $2500 a channel and it was accepted.

See this thread for a working solution (for now at least)

(basically - look in your Slim Picks/Webcaster)

Sounds good -- do you have a link for this?

... which shows that it was rejected.

See the post I put into this more generic SaveNetRadio thread earlier today.

Hi Again,

I am having great trouble logging on to Radioio since the change. Could you do me a favor and walk me through how to reconnect with all of the radioio stations? If you could be very literal and concrete, I would appreciate it. I have not been able to log in for quite a while. Thanks for your help in advance. I appreciate all the help you've given me in the past.

Internet Radio -> Slim Picks -> By Webcaster -> radioio.

Andy, looks like that solution is no longer effective.

Any other ideas?

thanks

The SlimDevices Picks> by Webcaster> Radioio still is working for me. Occasionally the stream is interupted by ads but the link still works.

It's working now, but it wasn't earlier.
