Thanks for your ongoing correspondence.

I see. So it sounds like you are suggesting that, for a variety of reasons,
it may be more likely to be an issue with the wireless network and that I
should therefore try to rule that out. Makes sense to me. I have a
sneaking suspicion that if I used a new wireless router, the issue would be
resolved.

I would be interested to know if anyone has had any luck getting the
squeezebox to work with the SMC Barricade 7004AWBR.
