View Full Version : Volume 11 (!!???) and advanced server settings - where?

Hi,
I am using Windows XP with 5.0.1 and the firmware that came with the
Squeezebox.
I am using the Squeezebox analogue-out.
I am interested in making the Squeezebox shove out as high a volume as
possible.
I have heard talk of volume level 11 (which sounds like it is probably a
joke) and also mention of a volume adjustment on server settings/advanced.
Where is this? My version of the SlimServer software only seems to have
server settings/additional, and I can find no mention of volume adjustment
there.

I have the volume on the Squeezebox set up to max (by using the remote). Is
there any way I can increase the volume further?

Have a look at the right hand "Now Playing" area of the web interface
using the default skin and you'll see the top volume level is indeed
11. It's the highest you can go. It corresponds to level 40 on the
player interface.

Surely a reference to the movie Spinal Tap.
