When I try that, I donıt get the error, but I get a display of whatıs
playing (paused) on the Squeezebox.

Iım assuming I just replace ³FirstLine² and/or ³Secondline² with desired
text, hit enter, and that should send it to the SB display?

What am I missing.

Nothing at all. Look at your Squeezebox just after you launch this URL in the
browser. Use 'p3=30' to lengthen the display time if you're sitting in
another room. The web page returned will have the current status display text
(in your case, the "paused" screen). but the Squeezebox will be displaying
the text from p1 and p2.

Also, if you need to use any of the query string special characters in your
text, you have to encode them. Use + for space, %3F for ?, %2A for = and %26
for &.
