Hi all been having some issues with radio streams to the squeeze box. The slim server version is the latest 6-5-2 and the streams have previously played from slim server. The streams are ok in that they will play both using VLC and media player. When I use the tune in section of the server I recieve a connecting message followed by an empty playlist. It is as if the server isn't connecting to media player to manage the stream.

Here is the contents of the asx file neither this nor the individual mms will play. Help appreciated from the forum knowledge base.

None of those streams appear to support HTTP streaming, so we can't play them. VLC and WMP will play them using the MMS protocol. Sometimes the fix can be as simple as emailing the station and asking if they'll enable HTTP streaming.

Been looking into this further

Have contacted the webmaster at radionz.co.nz who said that the http streams are now happening.

Url snooper shows up the url being

http://www.radionz.co.nz/__data/assets/audio_item/0019/8065/national.asx

The http url placed in browser will kick into gear the windows media files referenced within the asx desciption. I notice also there is a mms.pm file in the slim server protocol lists. Does this not make playing these streams possible using server/squeezebox.

will probably call radio nz next but would like to clarify how
mms is hsndled by slim server.
