...Or for our US friends Check Boxes!

Hi

Just got my SB -- very impressed, I think its the only-computer related thing I've bought that JUST WORKS!

But one issue I have...

I'm using iTunes (selected in settings). Some of my songs in iTunes have their tick-box NOT ticked. This is because in iTunes I've selected the 'only sync checked songs' option, because I don't want these songs to sync with my iPOD. They are mainly kids' music and stories which I don't need to carry around with me.

But I've found if they're not ticked in iTunes, they don't show up in SlimServer or the Squeezebox. A problem because the kids want to listen to them at home.

Can anyone offer any solutions to this.

Cheers

This works for me.

Tell SS not to use iTunes.

Then add a shortcut to your root itunes directory, and drop the shortcut into your music directory. Now all the songs in iTunes will appear.

They may be a more elegant solution ....

same issue -- I don't want them on my iPOD, but she wants to listen to her 'Ashanti' etc over the SB. I have the 'use iTunes' checked, but manage the iPOD with playlists within iTunes.

And retreat to the basement if she inisists in playing her music LOUD!

There is an option in the itunes settings page to include unchecked
songs. Select the "include all songs" option, and all songs should be
imported when you do a rescan.
