View Full Version : Windows cannot find 'SlimServer Web Interface.url'
When I launch the slim server interface by clicking on the desktop icon that the installation created or by double clicking the systray icon, I get a message that says Windows cannot find 'SlimServer Web Interface.url"
This happened out of nowhere.
If I go to my browser and enter localhost:9000 everything is fine.
With the current installation was it working and has now stopped or was never trioed before ?
What version of Windows ?
What version of Slimserver ? If 6.5.2 what is the nightly date ?
Do you have a file called "Slimserver Web Interface.url" in the /Program Files/SlimServer directory ?
The problem just started, but had been working fine with 6.5.1. Reinstalled and uninstalled everything. Yes I have the mentioned shortcut. It is as if the slimtray is not finding the pointer that exists in that folder.

I had the same problem but solved it by copying the "missing" file from /Program Files/SlimServer to the /Program Files/SlimServer/server directory

This did not help for me.
For those who have had this problem and are running Firefox as their default browser, I found that this info on mozillazine finally helped me to solve the problem: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Windows_error_opening_Internet_shortcut_or_local_H TML_file_-_Firefox
Snood - did you install SlimServer using the English language?
