First post, :)

Im setting up:
- Squeeze box
- QNAP TS-101 NAS(http://www.qnap.com.tw/pro_detail_feature.asp?p_id=67)
- 2x MacBooks with iTunes

I will use the QNAP as central storage for all musicfiles. I want to access these from my 2 macbooks and also from my Sqeeze box of course.

I can play the iTunes library directly from the squeeze box, but can i also use it as the bridge for "remote speakers" in iTunes??? Similar to the Airport Express, were you can select to stream to that unit directly from the macbook & iTunes.

Any ideas?

It is technically possible - you can stream audio from iTunes (or any other application) using Nicecast (http://www.rogueamoeba.com/nicecast/), and use the Squeezebox to tune in the stream. Not free, and not sure what advantage this would have over pulling songs using the Squeezebox...
