Oops! I did get one response to my original post. Thanks Jason H. As Jason
suggested, I have played around with the antenna orientation and placed my
wireless router up toward the ceiling of the computer room. Neither seemed to
help.

I am stumped.

I have had a Squeexebox for several months and seems to work fine,
although signal strength is not as good as I had hoped. By tweaking the
antenna positions of the router and Squeezebox, I am able to get a
decent signal.

I bought a 2nd Squeezebox during the $20 off deal with free shipping. I
received the unit yesterday. This second unit has MUCH less range. When
the unit is about 18 inches from the router I get 54% with the antenna
off and 84% with the antenna on. It can't even connect in another room,
let alone three rooms away like my first unit. This is very
disappointing. This unit is going back next week. I hope this is a
isolated problem and that I can get at unit at least as good ad the
first one.
