Due to lack of responses to my original post I am following up on my own. Does
anybody out there experience signal strength problems when using the squeezebox
wirelessly?

My wireless laptop works great all over the house and even reports signal
strength as "very good" when outside on the back patio, however this is not the
case with the squeezebox. It reports signal strength of 40-50% when in the same
room as the wireless linksys router (and get worse if I move out of the
computer room). The laptop reports signal strength as "excellent" from the
exact same spot in the computer room. I am unable to use the squeezebox
(wirelessly) in any other room.

Are there settings on the squeezebox or server that I can tweak with to try to
troubleshoot/resolve this poor wireless performance? Is there something I can
check for inside the squeezebox itself? This just doesn't seem right. Any tips
hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Blooto,

You should have a stronger signal than that. It may be that the
antenna is broken or the connector to the wireless card inside has come
loose. If you have a torx driver set, you can open up the player to
see if it's connected properly. Otherwise, contact
support (AT) slimdevices (DOT) com and they can set you up with an RMA.
