For non-techies, how does one install the nightly build of 6.52? After downloading it, there doesn't seem to be an installer application, but perhaps I missed it.

Thanks.

There should be, but currently there seems to be a problem preventing it
from finishing the build. The latest you can get is dated feb 24th:

http://www.slimdevices.com/downloads/nightly/SlimServer_6_5_x_v2007-02-24/

But as there hasn't been a lot of change the past two days, you want miss
anything installing it instead of today's build.

Thanks. Pardon my ignorance, but which of the files available in the directory does one download for XP? And then once you download it, which of the various files do you use to start the installation process?

Also, as a suggestion (since there seem to be so many posts on this topic), it would be great if new installations started with an automatic removal of all prior Slimserver elements. Even using the "uninstall" routine doesn't remove everything, and you need to go in and delete some files manually to insure that there's a complete uninstall. Seems a bit clunky...

Thanks!

There's only one Windows executable file (*.exe). Once it's downloaded,
simply doubleclick to start the process.

As I've mentioned in my first mail, this file has not been built for two
days. You'll therefore have to download the one from a few days ago.

I'm not sure you really want this: what about configuration files?
Plugins? Do you really want to install/configure them after every update?

It's "industry standard". :-)
