Hey guys, before i start, id like to say i have searched the forums

Ok, so today my dad went to a Hi-Fi show, and he saw someone controlling a Squeezebox with a Nokia N770
He was very impressed by this, and would also like to do this, the guy recommended the N800 as its practically the same, just faster

So my question is, how do you get this to do it (if there is a link you can redirect to, that would be good also)

apparently the N770 was displaying album art, album details, track details etc, so i don't think its just the same as going to the slimserver URL - however I'm not sure (As i don't use a Squeezebox)

Thanks for any help on this

use the nokia's browser, changing serverIP to match the ip address of
the computer that is running slimserver.

Actually it is as simple as opening the Nokia's web browser and pointing it to the slimserver URL. And for best effect, use the Nokia770 skin that Ben Klaas has developed, which also works fine on the 800. It is designed for the Nokia's screen size, and has a lot of other nice touches.

Ben did a fantastic job on the skin -- it looks really really sharp on the device.

I can confirm that with the faster processor and more RAM, the N800 is even better for controlling the server. It's fast enough now that browsing by album art (for example) is as quick as it is on the PC.

That's excellent, because I understand that the Nokia E90 (my next
phone) is very much like a N800 with a phone and a keyboard. I'm looking
forward to using it with my SS setup.
