None of the title formats options are fully satisfying. Is there a way to customize them? For example, my title format of choice is the following:

TRACKNUM. TITLE - ARTIST - ALBUM

But I'd like to add (TRACKSTATRATINGDYNAMIC)to it. Maybe at the end, I'm not sure yet.

Or maybe there's a way to keep my title format of choice and display the trackstat ratings elsewhere?

Also, is there a way to display actual stars instead of asterisks?

look in server settings, formatting. you can set up the list of
choices there, then in player settings you have access to those.

if you want more flexibility, look into the MusicInfo Screensaver
plugin from Michael Herger:

Also, is there a way to display actual stars instead of asterisks? You can currently change the "rating character" in the TrackStat settings but its limited to the characters available in the default font and I'm not sure if there are any star character available there. The problem is also that is must work both on player display and in the web interface.

However, as I have understand it should be possible for a plugin to provide its own fonts/characters and this way it might possible to do something in TrackStat to show real stars instead of asterix characters. I'll add it to the TrackStat wish list as something to investigate sometime in the future.

Here. here. MusicInfo lets me fine-tune my display to show exactly what I'm most interested in seeing while music's playing, and what I like to see when I tap Now Playing.

MusicInfo is awesome.

MusicInfo is interesting. I installed it a couple of weeks ago, but I don't think I'll use it, mainly because I love the analog VU screen saver.

When I started, the website said "rewards for significant
contribution". They are good on their word. There was also a plugin
contest a few years back rewarding third party work. And of course,
the occasional third party dev ends up being hired. I can think of 4
without much effort.

I agree, I've contributed and received very fair reward.

Open Source Slimserver is very cool.

With SaverSwitcher, you could use both of them. Set the 1st SaverSwitcher "when playing" saver to MusicInfo for 10 seconds and the 2nd to Analog VU for something like 10 minutes and, after an initial 10 seconds of MusicInfo, you'll only see the VU, until the next song starts, or you press "0" on the remote to go back to MusicInfo for 10 seconds, or "1" on the remote to only use MusicInfo.
