Just noticed that http://faq.slimdevices.com redirects to the appropriate Logitech page (although it initially loads all entries rather than just the ones for the "Wireless Streaming Systems" which might confuse a bit).

Anyone noticed any other sites moving over?

And if you click on the link on this page http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/categories/US/EN,crid=2647,categoryid=526 it brings you back! I'd prefer them to keep the two entities separate wouldn't you?

The assimilation is beginning to gather pace then.

I wonder how long we will actually have a dedicated 'Slimdevices' website for? And i wonder how long before the 'Slimdevices' name is just a memory?

Well, the support is now also on Logitech.com.
- And how long will there be a SlimDevices forum? Is it going the way of FingerWorks (bought by Apple) where the FW users created their own site just (http://fingerfans.dreamhosters.com/) to survive?

The forum is absolutely NOT going away, although in time the branding will change along with everything else.

The old FAQ is hiding at
http://www.slimdevices.com/su_faq.html

Personally I find the new fragmented FAQ unusable

And the web page/layout is not very easy on the eyes.

I have always found logitechs FAQ/support pages a royal pain in the ass, but i guess we will have to live with it.

Thank you for the link to the old FAQ! I agree, the new one is a usability disaster.

I don't think we'll find user research that shows how clicking on a SlimDevices branded page --a highly useful and oft-referred to page that no doubt saw a significant amount of traffic-- and 1. shifting to Logitech branding without warning, with 2. a significantly different (and much worse) user experience that buries Slimdevices support in 138 pages of largely irrelevant Logitech glop.

Seriously:
"Troubleshooting: The Z10 touch controls don't work"
"Step by step procedure to test the Logitech X-530 speakers."
"Reconnecting a cordless keyboard or mouse"
At least default the thing to a Slimdevices subset of responses versus all products. Or better yet, give us a better or at least equivalent experience.

The Logitech site is a great example of bad UI design, especially the support section. And it's sloooow. Please don't let them take over the Slimdevices site one page at a time.

The old faq is back (thanks), but I suspect that a few recent posts are available on the Logitech site only

e.g.
http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=6060&p_created=1168638026&p_sid=euQa4fui&p_accessibility=0&p_li=&p_topview=1

Sean, do please keep a few Slim devices for those very few of us whose surname matches the product!

... Or you could 'long-term-loan' me a Transporter for some marketing kudos...? ;)
