I currently have 187 albums and all of them have artwork and all but 3-4 tracks are .flac. I have 4 flac tracks by and artist and one mp3 (in a different directory) that is buy the same artist. They both show up under the same artist, but the artwork with the mp3 file (I have placed it in the same diretory with it as cover.jpg, and also tried embedding it in the mp3) displays full size when viewing the work of the artist, or all albums by artwork. The file is 200x185 jpg. All of the other 186 artworks resize to what I think is 100x100, but this one remains much larger. All of the other 186 artwork files are just a cover.jpg file in the directory with the flac files and the size varies from 200x200 up to 500x500. What is causing this problem? BTW, I am running SS 6.5.1

I've seen this as well, and reported it here (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30905). I'd be happy to provide the jpg that causes problem if needed.

Perhaps this should be registered as a proper bug, it might be time to learn how to do that. Hang on...

I ended up just making a thumb.jpg and that fixed the problem. I have no idea why I had to do this.

the thumbnails are resized by the server when possible (if the GD
library is sucessfully loaded by slimserver). GD only supports GIF,
PNG and JPG file types. Currently, any other type remains unresized
since there is no current way to break the assumption of server
resizing by item.

Turns out my jpg was only such by extension. The file itself was a bmp which is unsupported. Bug closed.

I am thinking this might have been my problem. It wouldn't open in MS Photo Editor, but it would open in Paint. However in Paint I saved it as a .jpg and it still was too large.

i don't think paint actually converts the file format.
