How do I get hold of old versions of slimserver? I upgraded to 6.5.1 and can not get the web front end to load at all. Switched off firewall and everything else on here to do but no joy so want to uninstall and go back. I hear the 'best' version is 6.3.1 - is that correct?

No. Because there's no best for everyone. Don't update, if you don't want
anything improved. Because then the current version is the best for you.

For me, v6.3.1 is also the last one I can use, unfortunately. After that the MySQL "bloat" started. I spent an awful lot of time on it, but couldn't get it to fully work on my half-embedded Linux homeserver box. (Slax running like a live CD readonly from CF card, plus ramdisk)

Nowadays, the database is 5 times as big and scattered into hundreds of files. With v6.3.1, I could write the single file database back to CF on shutdown and persist it that way. With v6.5.x, it barely fits into the ramdisk at all, writeback is impractical.

Are there any activities of backporting bugfixes into 6.3x? There seem to be more people stuck at 6.3x for practical reasons.
