I am trying out a Transporter, using ethernet.
I have encountered two problems so far.
After playing for about 45 minutes, the sound disappeared, but the VU meters were still moving showing signal. I couldn't get sound back and had to unplug the mains and restart the Transporter. This happened twice, the second time after only a few minutes of playing.
Also I noticed a couple of albums playing slow. Not ridiculously slow, but definitely out of time. At first I thought there was a problem server end so I rebooted and re-ripped the album. It sounded fine. Then I noticed it on another album. I stopped the track, skipped to another album, then went back and it was back up to speed.
Such goings on never happened with my sb3.
What's happening.

It happened again after a Wake-on-lan power up.

It continued to drop the analog output, even though the vu meters showed music was being played.

I returned it to Ripcaster and I'm back with my sb3 which doesn't lose analog output.

I got a full refund from Jon Nelson of Ripcaster.
Thanks Jon for an excellent service.
