View Full Version : Synchronising two softsqueeze instances...

Is it possible to run two instances of softsqueeze ( on two different PCs ) so that they play from the same playlist ( from a third PC running slimserver ), synchronised so that the same music can be listened to in different rooms.??

I have configured a slimserver and created a playlist. listening via one soft squeeze instance works well , but when I try to point to the same playlist from another pc ( using the transport drop down to the other PC's IP ) i see the playlist , but i can't seem to play it ( the play button / link etc.. just doesn't work.. :-( )
Am I doing something very stupid ??. can it be done ?.

You need to synchronise the two players. Then whatever is played on one will play on the other. With both Softsqueeze players open go to SlimServer Player Settings/Audio/Synchronise for one of the players and set it to synchronise to the other.
