To counter all the bah humbugs in this (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30794) thread, I'm wondering if anyone has found a WELL-PRODUCED Christmas music disc.

I'm looking for something extremely traditional, approached like classical music. Carols with choral voices, accompanied preferably by those humungous organs in cathedrals or halls capable of producing 20 Hz at 90 dB...

It could be particularly impressive if it's well-recorded. Not much music really goes as low as one of those house-sized pipe organs and I have a sub that likes going down that low. Perhaps it's my French-Canadian genes as pipe organs were particularly popular in Quebec in years past (that's what Bombardier originally built).

I have some traditional Christmas music but it's nostalgia recordings from my childhood years. None of it is very well recorded and I'm sure this sort of music could sound very good. Picture a plaintive high child's voice accompanied by a huge organ chord rumbling the room...Or crystalline harp music accompanied by rich female vocals.

Some help from classical music fans?

Thanks.

I heard that very hall/choir/organ on TV last night and that's what I was thinking of when I started this thread!

The video sound wasn't great (lots of hiss), glad to hear the CD is better. It's too late this year, I'll have to check it out next year.

Any other suggestions?
