Hi,
I have slimserver running on a Linux pc, working fine with v6.5. Yesterday I downloaded orb streaming software from www.orb.com. Now looking at my slimserver's web page I see under browse "Orb (<pc> - <username>). I see the same on the SB under the browse menu.
Now I'm confused, how is the slimserver seeing the Orb software? I did a search but didn't have any luck.

Regards-Michael G.

It would seem that Orb is a upnp server which slimserver can detect.
In order to support Rhapsody, slimserver has a basic upnp client
interface.

slightly related: its been a while since I tried MusicIP (the last time I tried the Linux version had a bunch of utf8 issues...), and while scanning today, I noticed that Slimserver spotted it and was fondling it in what may or may not be appropriate ways....

Because it has a upnp server now and Slimserver spotted it.

When I finish analyzing some of my music I'll have to play with what the effects are, though it could be interesting.
