Is it possible to specify the playlist in the URL the client uses to connect
(like "server:9000/stream.mp3?jazzstation' or something?) That would
probably achieve the desired result.

no, the SlimServer isn't really an internet radio server. You CAN set up
christmas playlists and jazz playlists, then have your clients load up the
playlist of choice. There is just no single stream. Each client gets its
own,
even if its a duplicate.

In my opion that would be the cleanest way of doing it...maybe I'll take
a look at the code and see what it would take.

I guess what I was thinking is that from an automation standpoint you
could have all clients (computers and squeeze) on one stream...you could
then send announcements through them (via the stream) you could have
everybody be on the "Christmas" station unless you were bored of that
and then you chould change "stations" but if it wasn't designed that way
it may be harder than I'm thinking..

Anyway..thanks for the suggestions!
