SlimServer v6.5.0 Hangs on Start

Hello,

I've just installed v6.5.0 on a new computer and it hangs during start. It just says "Starting SlimServer..." in the tool try icon menu. Any idea what's going on here?

P.S. This seems like it's probably a common problem and I tried searching the forums but I wasn't having any luck getting the search function to work. It's just returning a blank screen.

Did you install it on top of 6.3 without uninstalling first? If so, uninstall, delete the SlimServer directory and reinstall.

Also are you using any plugins? Are they listed to be compatible with 6.5?

Also, if you are on Windows, have a look in the application event log, there are sometimes useful clues there.

Just to follow up, I seemed to have solved the problem. To answer the previous two replies; it's a fresh install on Windows XP and there was nothing in the app event log. I uninstalled and reinstalled and then it started up fine. Not sure why, but it worked.
