I wanted to what was the inner and outer diameter for the DC input that the SB3 uses.

Thanks

Not quite enough amperage. The SB likes 1-2 Amps. Did you suck the one that came with it up into the vacuum cleaner?

Good one, currently browsing my friends, and I just can't see how the stock PS is even adequate, I found a ps the puts out 5v 1.5amps on the same site and is $12. I'm just amazed on how awesome this thing works. Hopefully I can buy one by the end of the year, as I'm on a tight budget.

The stock PSU is fine. Some people prefer to use a linear replacement but no cheap switcher is going to improve anything.

What on earth makes you say that?

Well the PS is so small, but then again I'll have to keep listening and see.

Switching power supplies are always smaller than comparable linear ones as a result of the technology used. The stock PSU was designed specifically to work with the SB3 and does so more than adquately. It is possible that an alternative PSU might deliver sonic improvements, but it's also likely that a poorly designed one (which the stock one isn't) will make things worse. The quality of power supplies cannot be measured by weighing.

The designers at SD know what they are doing and I don't think they'd skimp on PSU design.

Size isn't everything.

That is true, reason I have thought of changing the PS when I get one is one thing. I have heard that the switching PS will introduce noise back into my other equipment.
