View Full Version : Is it just developers that should set bugs to "resolved"?

I've raised a bug that I have now discovered is fixed as part of a recent nightly (as suggested by the developer).

I've updated the text of the bug with this information a couple of days ago, but I'm now wondering if I should also set the status to "resolved". I am the only person (other than the SlimDevices developer it is assigned to) that has contributed to this bug, so I don't need to check if it is fixed for anyone else.

What is the etiquette for this?

Cheers,

Richard

If you reported the bug, you are also able to mark it as resolved.
Developers are very busy, so if you happen to keep up with nightlies
and noticed that your bug is fixed, it would be very welcomed if you
make a note of which nightly and mark it as resolved->fixed, or
->worksforme. That way, it avoids the use of resources trying to
reproduce a problem that is already fixed.

Cheers - I'll do that now.

I had already added the fact it worked & the relevant nightly to the text. I just wanted to check I wasn't crossing any demarcation lines before changing the status!
