View Full Version : Playing entire library via web interface (server crashes)

You wouldn't happen to have any symbolic links or
shortcuts that may create a loop in your directory
structure?

This creates an infinite loop in the background
startup music scan that can go undetected (doesn't
check to see if directory has already been scanned).
I suppose it could crash or hang the system if you
tried to enqueue your entire library.

I do not believe I have any symbolic links. All the files are located
in the same place. I really don't understand why it is just the web
interface that slows the server to a crawl. I have not had a chance to
test to see if it eventually come back to life but it does take up all
the CPU cycles. Anyway, it should not take longer than a minute to
load the playlist in my opinion. The machine has 2 GB RAM and is a
dual G5 MAC.

Thank you,
