I have been trying to tune in to http://ms2.radio-canada.ca/PremiereChaine.ogg.m3u for a long time now. I can listen to that Ogg Vorbis stream using Winamp, but I fail to stream that to my Squeezebox 3. Today I installed the 6.5.0 server in the hope that this would work, but it still doesn't. I turned on d_source debugging.

I cannot play that stream at all.
Anyone here who can play http://ms2.radio-canada.ca/PremiereChaine.ogg.m3u?

It is possible to play http://ms2.radio-canada.ca/PremiereChaine.ogg.m3u stream by going server settings > File Types and unchecking ogg built in. I don't know why the built in decoder is not handling it.

Yes, this line is the key:

Error: Decoder does not support file format, skipping track

Our Ogg decoder in the firmware is not capable of playing this stream, probably due to the memory usage required to decode it.

A it more informative log - there is a problem in the ogg format.

I am currently running slimserver 6.0.2 on a kurobox (http://www.kurobox.com/) with two squeezebox2 units. Everything is running fine. I am considering upgrading to slimserver 6.5 because it seems to include firmware that will will allow my squeezbox2 units to decode ogg vorbis natively. However, I noticed that andyg stated that http://ms2.radio-canada.ca/PremiereChaine.ogg.m3u still needs to be transcoded by the slimserver since the ogg vorbis firmware can not decode this stream. Are there any streams, such as Virgin Radio http://www.virginradio.co.uk/thestation/listen/ogg.html that the firmware can decode? I don't want to transcode things on my kurobox so I have been sticking to native formats. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Here is one virgin radio oggvorbis stream that plays with the built in decoder.
http://www.smgradio.com/core/audio/ogg/live.pls?service=vcbb
and another.
