Hi, Folks:

I've scoured the slim site and the web, and can't find any good reference
material for building skins. I am very familiar with CSS, and would love
to just simply slap my own CSS on top of the "WebPad" skin, for a very
simple, lightweight, but functional skin.

Making a copy of the "WebPad" directory and tweaking from there, I see NO
DIFFERENCE in the web browser! My that, I mean, I made a copy of the
WebPad directory, called it "JimPad" and when I browse to
http://server:9000/JimPad/ I get the original WebPad interface, no matter
what modifications I make.

What gives? Anyone know of a decent faq or howto on this?

Thanks!
-Jim

Actually, you have done the right thing. However, what can cause a problem is
the server setting for HTML Cache. Look in the server settings (advanced),
Performance settings option has a listing for HTML Caching. Set this to Don't
Cache, in order to edit skins and see the changes. As long as you've made a
copy of the CSS file and any html files that you want to be different from the
EN versions, then you should get your skin of choice
