... I am no Linux and computer expert!?

How can I then get NAS? Is there any out-of-the-box solutions, that "normal" people can use?

If you just want a NAS to store your music library then it is pretty easy to set up, even for "normal" people. It only gets tricky if you want to run slimserver on the NAS, so that you can switch off your pc.

If that's what you have in mind, you should check out the NASs that have vendor support for slimserver. The ones that come to mind are Infrant and QNAP, although there might be one or two others. The only QNAP with slimserver support are the ones sold through Progressive audio in the UK. Search the forums for "infrant" or "qnap", and you can also check out the company websites (www.progressiveav.com and www.infrant.com). The NASs with vendor support for slimserver tend to be priced higher than other consumer-grade NASs of comparable capacity.
