Im about to start ripping my rather large cd collection. Ive succesfully installed EAC and can rip to flac. My question is, it seems that EAC rips the tracks to one directory, the same on eeach time. Should I have a separate directory for each album? Each artist? Does it matter? Is there a way for EAC to create a directory for each new album, or is that a manual operation?
Thanks

You should ideally have an artist\album\title folder structure.

In EAC, go to EAC - EAC Options... - Filename - Naming scheme and type in:

"%A\%C\%T"

Will EAC then automatically create the artist folder?

Yes, it will create:

artist\album

and put all the tracks in the album folder.

Try it out.

I did, it worked. My last question is, how will EAC handle multiple discs from the same artist? Will it create a new artist folder each time, and then I have to manually move the new album folder into the existing artist folder?

It will create artist\album1\
then artist\album2\
etc.

so you will end up with one folder called 'Artist'
then inside folder 'Artist' will be two folders 'Album1' & 'Album2' etc.

As suggested: 'Try it'
