    Fast forward / reverse

FF/Rew is definitely screwy (5.0.1 W2K). I find that holding the FF button gets me into 2x mode, but then on the subsequent press, it doesn't step to 4x like it used to. Instead, I have to hold the button down again, then the speed steps to 4x, but the song position (as displayed on the bar-graph) will immediately shoot to somewhere near the end of the track.

    Tim,

Are you using one of the old SONY remotes or one of the Slim Devices
    remotes?

Also, when it shoots to the end, are you pressing any other button
    besides FWD?

I can't reproduce the behavior you are seeing here...

If I press and hold FWD, it sometimes wont go past 2X until I press again. If I
press play when its going 4X, it sometimes doesnt register. If it does, the
playback seems to start roughly from what I could hear, but the progress time is
definately different from the instant when it last was scanning. Sometimes, if
I hold play too long and it goes into save playlist, RIGHT and LEFT arrows seem
to be unable to leave the save playlist mode. The only way out is to press NOW
PLAYING. This is with server 5.0.3, linux, slimp3 and the slimdevices remote.

        another example, same setup:

playback on a song, press FWD until scanning 2X, press pause at 2:10 elapsed
        I get a pause at 2:11.
Press pause again, I get playback restarting at 2:51.
