Why does rescanning delete the current playlist?

When you do a "Clear library and rescan everything" rescan, is there a reason why the current playlist in the player disappears?

It's fairly inconvenient - if you don't remember to save the current playlist to some temporary playlist, you lose it.

Should I enter a bug for this or is it expected behaviour of 6.3.0 on Windows?

Thanks - it's by design.

Perhaps I could put in an enhancement request to have it not do this? It would be much nicer if it didn't.
