New product Transporter looks great for the high end.
Might upgrade my SB3 to it if I can save enough money.
But what about the low end.....

If slim took the core of the SB3, maybe downgraded some components, bolted some speakers on, enhanced clock/timer and the ability to run off batteries.
Great to carry out into the garden, stick it in the kitchen or leave in the bedroom.

Well, I'd buy it. Probably buy 2 or 3.
Any thoughts ?

I agree 100% with you.

A high-end product is for audiophiles only and they will never be happy with it !!!

On the other end, it would be really great to have a simple squeezebox (at a decent price: max 300$) with built-in amplifier and integrated speakers (and maybe an FM tuner), to move it from the bath-room to the kitchen, to the garden... I cannot say that I would buy 2 or 3 of them but 1 for sure !

It's been requested as often as the audiophile component has.

I agree. Awesome, beautiful component if you can afford it, but the first hacks and PS upgrades will be out before October 1st! :-)
