Oops, I think there is some confusion - I tried repairing IE. I have the
refresh problem with all the skins (I've tried them all). Something is
causing the page to freeze after it is minimized/maximized - I'll look into
it more over the long holiday weekend.

I am also stunned that its just the one skin. The refresh mechanism is the
same
for just about all of them. It is triggered by a meta tag. the only thing
that
I've seen stop it so far was Victor's proxy, interrupting tags that trigger
new
windows.

ah! something that makes at least some sense now :)
perhaps try a very simple html page that includes the same tags. Lets at least
eliminate the SlimServer from this issue. I've included a stripped down file
with just a table frame that gets wider over 10s then refreshes. The image is a
dead link, but it works to make the table change.

See if this makes any diff, when you have time.

I have not followed this thread in detail, but believe I see the same behaviour from the Slimp3 server "browser" on my XP system. (I have not checked the IE web page behaviour.) So, I believe it is not limited to IE.

I am running version 4.2.6 of the slim server. I first noticed this fairly recently but have no idea when it was. I cannot say if it started happening after my update to 4.2.6 or if it was associated with any other system changes.

Just to be sure, I brought up the slimp3 browser this morning before going to work and checked it when I got home and indeed the browser was "stuck" on the track that was playing this morning, although the actual music being played had advanced as expected.

I let the music play continuously, and rarely use any browser to look at anything, so I have not worried about it, but was definately caught off guard when I first noticed it.
