Hi all,

I have been looking at wireless bridge products (such as Buffalo WLI-TX4-G54HP and Linksys WET54G). I was wondering can you plug the wired SB3 into one of these and connect (flawlessly) over an existing 11g network?

Searching the forums I found this : http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24171&highlight=wireless+bridge suggesting yes?

Anyone care to comment

Thanks

Alex
Ps. I am not talking about the bridge function built into SB.

Yes, a 3rd party wireless bridge will work fine.

Such a product doesn't care what's plugged into it, it will just provide wired LAN access to a wireless network.

As you noted, the wireless bridge function in the SB is different - in fact that functionality makes a wireless SB act just like such a 3rd party device, while playing music at the same time.

Note, however, that it may be more cost-effective just to get a wireless SB.

Or an electrician. I'm a big fan of copper. It just works.
