I noticed this box on sale lately -

Seems like a nice solution for a single room amp for the Squeezebox. Has anone tried it?

It may be good, but I also recommend you take a look at a Sonic T-Amp. Search the slim forums for T-amp
http://www.si-technologies.com/frontEnd/cm_productDetail.jsp?productID=18

If you're looking for this type of thing, a T-amp is the best $30 you'll ever spend (or in my case, not spend; a thankful forum member sent one to me gratis for the slimserver skin I develop).

Most of these low cost amps are all based on the exact same chip, since it's
an amazing little beast it has almost no external components. Its the chip,
one cap and a couple of resistors if I recall so there is not likely any
difference from one to the next except appearance and connections / knobs.

Searching for Tripath / Class T / Class D amps will net a wealth of info
about them.

Tripath also puts out a kit, which provides an amp that is besting
audiophile amps in many blind tests for more of a kit price.
