We wanted to let everyone know that we will be having a booth at the MacGathering event on May 19th and 20th, 2006. The show is at the Beverly Garland's Holiday Inn, 4222 Vineland Ave, N Hollywood, CA 91602 (Immediately at the Vineland Exit of the 101).

Full details can be found at
http://www.macgathering.com/

Not to give too much away but we will have a special offer for folks attending the show. So if you or someone you know is contemplating a purchase, why not pop along to the show?

There will be just one of us at the show, so we are very open to offers of assistance. If anyone one feels like helping man the booth for a day, we’ll reward you with riches beyond your belief (or some cool schwag). If you’re interested, drop me a line at jez@slimdevices.com to make suitable arrangements.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Flight, London, Ontario - Los Angeles, CA...$1359.31 <sigh>

As much as I'd like to volunteer and who doesn't like swag, when are you guys coming to Toronto? :-)

I'd love to head north to Ontario (and the rest of Canada) but right now time (and the wife) don't make it that likely.

Seriously, anyone who is aware of an event where we can spread the word to potential new customers, do drop me a line at jez@slimdevices.com.

Bear in mind we have the same travel expenses as you guys, so we're obviously more likely to do events which would result in some nice sales. But we're always eager to meet past and future customers.

Heh - I was just being hopeful. :-)

True, but you can write it off as a promotional activity.

I exhibit at trade shows 3-4 times a year and I understand it doesn't make much sense to pay $4K in travel expenses with no appreciable sales though.

Hmm, I think this qualifies as business-related, maybe my employer will send me.

Speaking of sales, I'll happily feature an SB3 on my desk at work if you guys'll lend me one. Dozens of people pass by my cube every day. Right now all they ask about are the vintage phones that sit on it. They *could* be asking about that shiny SB3 instead!

:)

Why not take the wife on an european vacation and bring the booth with you? :-D

Rudholm . . thanks for the offer . . we'll consider it . . you'll hear back from us . . honest . .really . . just wait by the phone . . any day now . . LOL

TCM - a european trip would be very cool as I'm recent expat Brit and Patrick is French. We are actually planning on hooking up with Paul and Co at CEDIA UK next month but as that's a trade only show, I'm sure it wasn't what you had in mind. Now if I can only find a way to justify a booth at the Goodwood Festival of Speed . . hmmmmmmm

Hmmm, Goodwood F.O.S - that's less than 5 miles from me!

You could count on me for support!

Heh, I got complimentary tickets for FoS in 2004 - it was an excellent
day. Sadly, I'm not in the area any more but I still have contacts in
the area. Perhaps next year?
